At the beginning, I was diligent about reading a commentary in addition to the text, and intentionally diving deeper. I have let that slip, and even reading the text multiple times a week has been a struggle. Since my current normal wasn't measuring up to what it was previously, I think I quit "training" in a sense. I love how practical your insight is - just get in there, read it, and memorize it. Totally motivating and timely, and left me a chance to finish this series well. Love you! Thanks for being a leader who leads by example!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10379801972318520762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8767297878140786887.post-18776225900021798292015-04-28T17:25:27.943-07:002015-04-28T17:25:27.943-07:00this really makes me want to engage with the sermo...this really makes me want to engage with the sermon notes more throughout the week! thank you for your thoughts angela! :)Laura K. When I'm on my game, I love to do this. It not only adds so much to my spiritual journey, but it also makes for much better discussion in my community group because I'm not processing in the moment. Thanks so much for sharing Angela! Your leadership in our body is so appreciated. :)Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17975078201266855619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8767297878140786887.post-62563472598410342542015-04-27T09:19:48.359-07:002015-04-27T09:19:48.359-07:00Angela, thank you for writing this post! I've been enjoying digging deep into Hebrews as well! I have been going through a Hebrews commentary and its allowed me to learn so much more. Taking an active role for myself in going through this book as a church has been a good challenge for me this year. Especially because I feel like lately I've been struggling with what to read when I'm reading alone and then end up getting discouraged. This is such a great idea, I'm going to try this out for sure.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04032865806389595190noreply@blogger.com
